Our 'Volcan Cosiguina' Hike

A beautiful, meditative hike to Cosiguina Volcano. Cosiguina is one of the lesser-known natural gems of Nicaragua. Due to its isolation, it does not receive the same kind of attention as many other volcanoes in the country.

Standing at 872 meters (2,860 feet) it simultaneously overlooks 3 countries: Nicaragua, and the neighbouring countries of Honduras and El Salvador. Holding a substantial crater lake, Cosiguina creates a landscape like no other.

Your Teachers

Nikki and Michelle are designing a setting for you that integrates high vibrational delicious food, healing oils, a variety of ceremonies, and specifically curated yoga sequences and meditations using the Elemental Wisdom of the Earth.

Both women are known for their authentic styles of teaching and guiding both women and men through space with intention and intelligence. (read more about them below).

Expect a healing and relaxing environment. As with most retreats, all activities are encouraged but optional, so you can also make this experience your own.

Nikki Collum moved to Nicaragua in 2012 to pursue her love of yoga and travel. She has since spent the last few years traveling throughout Nicaragua and Central America exploring various forms of yoga, meditation, body work and holistic health. These days, she happily calls Coco Loco Resort hOMe.

As a mama, moon lover and dedicated student, Nikki thoughtfully weaves themes and intentions into her classes. A mash-up of hatha, yin and restorative yoga, her classes are carefully designed to use the anatomical keys of the body to unlock mental and emotional blockages. She believes that yoga is a way of life and that through healing ourselves, we can heal and transform the world while inspiring and empowering others to do the same through our presence.

When she is not teaching yoga she is often found with her daughter Naia on one hip and her hands in the kitchen playing with vegetarian, vegan and raw foods.

Michelle Baker is a mentor, a yoga teacher, a facilitator of Moon Ceremonies, and an energy worker. She now lives in Sweden, but New York is her first home and where she began her journey into mindfulness and holistic living. She is the mama of Tiny Yoga Space which opened in late 2016 in the Swedish west-coast surf town of Varberg. She recently taught at her first festival, Hallifornia, a weekend-long summer event in the heart of Varberg.

Michelle is an transformational mentor specializing in empowerment; working with hundreds of women and men supporting them on their path of inner growth.

Her work has taken her around the globe mentoring via one-on-one sessions and workshops, teaching yoga and leading Moon Ceremonies. Most recently her love of traveling introduced her to collaborating with some wise, wise souls creating and leading international retreats; a journey that allows her to incorporate all her teachings into a group setting alongside those she admires.

She is a student at heart and admires the depth of wisdom her Teachers continue to plant. Coffee is her vice, food and ceremony are her medicine.
