Meet the Creators

COURTNEY RODD

Hello, I am Courtney, creator of Nurture Your Nature.  While traveling in Central America I met my teacher, Balarama Chandra Das. Through his recitation and guidance in Ayurveda, I saw more of my complete being. The cultivation of myself through yoga has been profound. It has been a mirror into myself, and a record to hear my own voice. With this knowledge I endeavour to promote collective healing and empower others to inspire. I hope this can be a shared place where anyone whom these statements resonate with can find support and community. Looking forward to sharing time and space with you all.

BALARAMA CHANDRA DAS

Balarama Chandra was born into a family of soft hearted Native American and Mexican farm workers. Inner strength through struggle and seeking love in all things were his caring parents. He found new vibrance in life once he heard the voice and conversation of Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. Like brush in a wildfire he was consumed by the vast wisdom of the Vedic vision of life and the cultural practices of Yoga and Ayurveda. These arts enticed him to spend the next 8 years immersed in monastic living and spiritual practice. Over 15 years in his field and currently unrestricted by form, his study continues to find no end. Balarama Chandra currently focuses his professional practice on Ayurvedic Psychology and Habit Reformation through positive expression and the simple means of yoga, breath, and diet. He loves facilitating the conversation of self transformation and dharma via international educational trainings, retreats, and personal counselling.  Balarama is a true pleasure to study with as he has the dynamic ability to make the seemingly complicated Рpractical, humorous and exciting.

Emma offers up an energy that is truly contagious. She will remind you that lightness is found in the spirit through her approach to this practice and life in a reverent but playful way.
